The US's first LFP battery materials pilot production base was launched, with a construction cost of $20 million. On April 8, it was reported that ICL, an Israeli specialty minerals company, announced on April 2 that its BMIQ LFP battery materials pilot production base in St. Louis, Missouri, US, was officially launched. This is the first facility of its kind in the US. The BMIQ center, with an investment of $20 million (approximately 146 million yuan at the current exchange rate), has a pilot manufacturing capacity of 1 mt and a complete process simulation production line, integrating both R&D and actual production functions. The center will be used to accelerate exploration, rapidly track customer solutions, validate technical scalability, and provide direct support for ICL's LFP business in North America.
