According to MiningWeekly, Nobel Resources Corporation, listed on the Toronto Venture Capital Market, completed the acquisition of four copper mines from Austral Exploraciones.
Nobel obtained full ownership of the Cuprita, Janett, Pampa Austral, and Anais projects by issuing 2.5 million common shares to Austral's shareholders and paying $70,000 in cash to option holders.
Nobel also issued a 2% net smelter return royalty option for each project.
To maintain the good standing of each option and secure full rights to each project, Nobel must pay between $20,000 and $1 million at 12, 24, 36, and 48 months after signing the option agreement for each project.
The Cuprita copper mine is the most advanced among the four projects and is currently Nobel's focus. The mine has significant copper exploration potential, with multiple near-surface targets identified in recent rock sampling.
Cuprita is located in the famous Chilean Paleocene porphyry copper belt, where several large copper deposits have been discovered.
Janett and Pampa Austral have also identified multiple copper oxide occurrences on the surface, with past and present small-scale mining activities. Pampa Austral has intersected 70 meters of ore with a copper grade of 0.7%.
Despite past copper production, limited exploration has been conducted at the Janett and Anais copper mines.
