According to a statement from Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad (MSC) on April 3, the natural gas supply to the company's smelter has been disrupted due to a natural gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights, Selangor, Malaysia on April 1, 2025, leading to a halt in tin supply. The resumption of supply will be announced at a later date. There is currently no official timetable for the restoration of natural gas supply, but the company will make efforts to follow up with relevant authorities and notify its customers immediately after the tin smelter resumes operations.
