Galvanising Producers See 0.55% WoW Increase in Operating Rates; Zinc Ingot Inventory Grows

Published: Apr 3, 2025 19:50
The operating rates of galvanising producers recorded 60.3% this week, up 0.55 percentage points WoW. In terms of raw material inventory, zinc prices continued to pull back this week, downstream purchase enthusiasm significantly increased, spot pricing and cargo pick-up rose, and zinc ingot inventory grew noticeably. The weekly operating rate increased, mainly due to: although there was a Qingming holiday this week, most large factories in the north did not stop production, or took shifts for one to two days, overall having a relatively small impact on production, while small enterprises took more holidays, ranging from two to three days.
