Daqin Railway Starts 30-Day Spring Maintenance, Potentially Impacting Coal Transportation

According to the Taiyuan Bureau of the National Railway, the Daqin Railway, known as "China's First Heavy-Haul Railway," commenced a 30-day spring maintenance and construction period on April 1. This initiative aims to swiftly restore the performance of the line facilities and equipment that have been operating under high load since the winter coal supply guarantee, thereby laying a solid foundation for the peak summer energy transportation. In the short term, coal transportation may be affected, and trucking freight rates may increase, raising the shipping costs for coking coal and coke.
