Chengdu: Plans to Add 9,000 Mu of Land for Commercial Housing Supply and 120,000 Units of Commercial Housing by 2025
The Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued a notice on the "Chengdu 2025 Annual Housing Development Plan." The plan requires an overall balance between the supply and demand of commercial housing. It aims to actively adapt to the new situation of significant changes in the supply and demand relationship in the real estate market, promoting an overall balance in the total supply and demand. By 2025, the plan is expected to add 9,000 mu of land for commercial housing supply and provide 120,000 units of commercial housing, approximately 15.6 million m². The plan also calls for stabilizing the real estate market to halt the decline. It emphasizes actively adapting to the new changes in market supply and demand, effectively utilizing the central government's package of incremental policies, strictly controlling new supply, revitalizing existing stock, improving quality, fully tapping the potential of rigid and improved housing demand, and reconstructing a new balance in real estate supply and demand.
