






Beijing (Gasgoo)- In March, Chery Group sold 214,770 vehicles, marking an 18.3% year-on-year increase, according to the company's announcement on April 1. Of those, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. (Chery Automobile) contributed 197,614 units, up 10.9% from a year ago.
The group's new energy vehicle (NEV) sales skyrocketed 125.4% from the previous year to 62,210 units in March, while exports grew 2.7% year-on-year to 86,414 units.
For the first quarter of 2025, Chery Group achieved a record-breaking quarterly sales of 620,025 vehicles, which jumped 17.1% year over year. Among which, Chery Automobile contributed 590,533 units, indicating an 18.8% increase compared to that of the previous year.
In the Jan.-Mar. period, the group's NEV sales shot up 171.8% year-on-year to 163,458 units, and exports totaled 255,465 units, maintaining Chery's position as China's top auto exporter. By the end of March, Chery's global user base exceeded 16.3 million, including over 4.7 million overseas users.
All five of Chery's passenger car brands saw strong growth in March. Specifically, the Chery brand led with 118,955 units sold, followed by JETOUR with 54,020 units, EXEED with 7,618 units, iCAR with 7,016 units, and LUXEED with 10,005 units.
