In March 2025, China's LiPF6 production increased by 13% MoM and 51% YoY. This growth was mainly driven by the rise in end-use market demand and the overall industry demand, with the operating rate of LiPF6 plants improving MoM. In March, LiPF6 prices slightly declined due to raw material factors, and downstream purchases were cautious, with orders mainly following a produce-based-on-orders model. Additionally, the operating rate of battery cell enterprises improved compared to February, and LiPF6 plants flexibly adjusted production based on market demand, leading to a significant increase in production.
Looking ahead to April, end-use demand is expected to rise, driving an increase in demand for LiPF6. China's LiPF6 production in April is projected to grow by approximately 1% MoM and 31% YoY.
