In March 2025, China's electrolyte production increased by 14% MoM and 60% YoY. The growth rate of end-use market demand improved, with overall demand rising, and the operating rate of electrolyte plants significantly increased compared to the previous month. Based on the decline in LiPF6 prices, electrolyte prices also showed a slight downward trend. Some electrolyte enterprises chose to purchase as needed, with overall weak willingness to stockpile raw materials, and most orders were produced based on demand. Meanwhile, the operating rate of battery cell enterprises increased compared to February, prompting electrolyte plants to moderately raise their operating rates in response to market demand, leading to increased production.
Looking ahead to April, end-use demand is expected to rise slowly, and electrolyte demand will further increase. China's electrolyte production in April is expected to increase by about 3% MoM and 45% YoY.
