LME Zinc Prices Fluctuate, Close Slightly Higher

Overnight, LME zinc opened at $2,864.0/mt, reaching the day's high at the opening. Early in the session, shorts increased their positions, causing LME zinc to plunge and hit a low of $2,826/mt during European trading hours. Subsequently, shorts took profits and exited the market, leading to an upward shift in the center of LME zinc prices. It finally closed higher at $2,853.5/mt, up by $2/mt, with a gain of 0.07%. The trading volume decreased to 10,256 lots, and the open interest dropped by 941 lots to 222,000 lots.
