Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 28, Baidu's autonomous ride-hailing service (Robotaxi) platform, Apollo Go, announced a strategic partnership with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to launch large-scale autonomous vehicle testing and services in the city.

As part of the agreement, Apollo Go and RTA plan to deploy over 1,000 fully unmanned vehicles in Dubai, marking the platform's first large-scale deployment outside China.

With this collaboration, Apollo Go will conduct extensive autonomous driving tests in Dubai's complex urban traffic environment, further validating the stability and maturity of its driverless system.

On March 29, Apollo Go announced another strategic partnership with Autogo, an autonomous mobility provider in the UAE, to jointly develop safe, efficient, and sustainable driverless ride-hailing services in Abu Dhabi. This partnership represents Apollo Go's continued expansion into the Middle East market.

Leveraging its sixth-generation autonomous vehicles, advanced technology, and extensive fleet operation experience, Apollo Go will provide comprehensive support to Autogo in establishing an intelligent mobility service network in Abu Dhabi.

To date, Apollo Go has deployed city-level unmanned vehicle operations across China, achieving 100% driverless service. The platform has completed over 10 million rides with a cumulative safety record exceeding 150 million kilometers.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
