Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 25, GAC INTERNATIONAL's Thailand plant marked a milestone as the first mass-produced AION V unit rolled off the assembly line, according to a post on the company's WeChat account.

As a key model in GAC Group's global strategy, the production launch not only reinforces the company's commitment to localized manufacturing in Thailand but also serves as a crucial step in advancing its "ONE GAC 2.0" initiative to strengthen global competitiveness.

At the AION V production launch ceremony, Wei Haigang, General Manager of GAC INTERNATIONAL, commended the team's efforts: "I sincerely thank all team members for their dedication. In just 15 months since the plant's construction began, we have successfully achieved mass production of the AION V. Today's rollout marks another key milestone in our 'ONE GAC 2.0' global strategy and underscores our firm commitment to sustainable development worldwide."

Regarding market expansion, Wang Haoyong, Head of GAC INTERNATIONAL's Southeast Asia operations, revealed that the Thailand plant will introduce another locally produced model later this year, with plans to launch two to three fire new models annually in the future.

GAC Group aims to establish Thailand as a central hub for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing and exports in Southeast Asia. Leveraging its local plant as a key production base, the company is committed to a comprehensive approach to sustainable development—enhancing its product offerings, expanding charging infrastructure, digitizing service networks, and deepening collaboration with local partners. These efforts will contribute to a fully integrated smart mobility ecosystem covering the entire vehicle lifecycle.

At this year's Bangkok International Motor Show, GAC INTERNATIONAL introduced the ONE GAC 2.0, its upgraded global strategy anchored in long-term commitment. The initiative is built around one vision, one goal, and one brand image, supported by one localized action plan and five key measures to accelerate international expansion with a more efficient and precise market approach.

● One vision: To be a value creator for a better mobility experience.

● One goal: To establish GAC as a globally influential and trusted automotive brand.

● One brand image: To be recognized as a high-quality, high-tech, and trustworthy mobility partner.

● One localized action plan: Emphasizing local business integration, service, and contribution.

● Five key measures: Implement localization in product development, sales channels, customer service, intelligent manufacturing, and energy & mobility ecosystems to deliver a seamless full-lifecycle user experience.
