Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 28, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group ("Geely Holding") signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with China Post, aiming to collaborate across finance, express logistics, vehicle applications, mobility services, and market expansion to drive mutual growth.

Under the agreement, China Post's Postal Savings Bank will provide comprehensive financial services to Geely Holding. In the vehicle and mobility sector, Geely Holding will supply products and services for China Post's official vehicles and new energy commercial vehicles.

Geely's Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group has been focusing on dual-core technologies—methanol-hydrogen and electric powertrains—to develop next-generation green and intelligent commercial vehicles. With a strong market reputation for environmental efficiency, cost-effectiveness, adaptability, and reliability, Geely's offerings are well-suited to China Post's diverse logistics needs, including long-haul transport, urban distribution, suburban deliveries, and operations in mountainous regions.

The partnership marks a significant step in leveraging both companies' resources and strengths, laying the foundation for a long-term, stable strategic alliance. Geely Holding and China Post will work together to drive innovation and foster shared success in modern, sustainable logistics solutions.

[SMM Tin Briefing: In May, China's NEV production and sales saw double-digit YoY growth]
The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) released data on the 10th showing that in May 2026, China’s NEV market stabilized and rebounded, with production and sales reaching 1.554 million and 1.496 million units, up 22.4% and 14.4% YoY respectively. The share of NEV sales in total new vehicle sales further rose to 56.9%. In May, China’s auto production and sales reached 2.616 million and 2.629 million units, up MoM and slightly down YoY, though the decline narrowed further. Overall, in the first five months, auto production and sales totaled 12.235 million and 12.207 million units, with NEV production and sales totaling 5.841 million and 5.802 million units, up 2.5% and 3.5% YoY respectively.

[Japan's May New Car Sales Edge Up Nearly 3% YoY] Data on vehicle registrations recently released by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association showed that in May this year, domestic new car sales in Japan reached 332,997 units, edging up 2.75% YoY. Sales in the same period last year were 324,069 units, up 10% YoY. By category, passenger car sales were 276,910 units, up 2.75% YoY, and truck sales reached 55,168 units, up 2.2% YoY.
