Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 28, 2025, LiDAR tech company RoboSense officially launched the AC1, the first product in its new Active Camera series, along with the AI-Ready ecosystem. The company aims to provide an innovative one-stop solution for robotic perception development.

As the debut product in the Active Camera lineup, the AC1 integrates LiDAR, camera, and IMU sensors, achieving spatial-temporal synchronization for hardware-level fusion of depth perception, visual semantics, and motion state data. It features an ultra-wide 120°×60° field of view—70% larger than conventional 3D cameras—a long-range detection capability of up to 70 meters, and precise 3cm@1sigma distance accuracy. This enables a single AC1 unit to fulfill robotic functions such as obstacle avoidance, mapping, and localization, eliminating the complexities of multi-sensor stacking and calibration.

The AI-Ready ecosystem offers essential software tools and open-source algorithms, including the AC Studio suite, which streamlines development. An open-source SDK supports drivers, data acquisition, and fusion algorithms, while a built-in algorithm library provides advanced functions like SLAM, semantic segmentation, and 3D Gaussian splatting, compatible with mainstream AI computing platforms.

With AI-Ready, the AC1 can be applied to humanoid robots, drones, and digital twin environments for 3D scanning, environmental monitoring, and industrial robotics. It also holds significant potential in autonomous driving and home robotics.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
