Nevada Leaders Visit Lithium Americas Hub, Highlighting Thacker Pass's Role in Domestic Energy Security

Last week, Nevada Governor Lombardo and Nevada Congressman Mark Amodei visited Lithium Americas’ Workforce Hub for a briefing on the status of Thacker Pass and the Winnemucca investments required to make the project a success. This visit highlights Nevada's pivotal role in securing America's domestic energy future and economic competitiveness. Thacker Pass represents a critical step toward building domestic supply chain security for battery minerals and reducing dependence on foreign sources, while creating as many as 2,000 jobs. Thacker Pass is expected to increase today’s domestic output of lithium by eight times and positions Nevada at the forefront of America’s growing battery industry, bringing significant economic development to northern Nevada.
