Japan's semiconductor equipment sales recorded double-digit growth for the 14th consecutive month, with February figures surging nearly 30% YoY. According to the latest statistics from the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ), the sales of Japanese-made chip equipment (3-month moving average, including exports) reached 412.065 billion yen in February 2025, a sharp increase of 29.8% compared to the same month last year. This marks the 14th consecutive month of growth, with the growth rate maintaining double-digit levels (above 10%) for the 11th straight month. Monthly sales exceeded 300 billion yen for the 16th consecutive month and surpassed 400 billion yen for the fourth consecutive month.
