On March 27, RoboSense and LionsBot announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing visual perception capabilities and expanding multi-scenario applications for intelligent cleaning robots.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 27, RoboSense and LionsBot announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing visual perception capabilities and expanding multi-scenario applications for intelligent cleaning robots. The collaboration seeks to accelerate the global transformation of the cleaning industry through cutting-edge sensor technology and AI-driven automation.

Under this partnership, RoboSense will equip LionsBot's R12 Rex and R3 series, as well as its next-generation cleaning robots, with high-performance LiDAR sensors, enabling exceptionally precise and stable environmental perception. This will enhance navigation and obstacle avoidance in large commercial and industrial zones, as well as smaller office spaces, significantly improving cleaning efficiency and advancing the intelligent evolution of cleaning services worldwide.

RoboSense CEO Qiu Chunchao highlighted the rapid growth and immense potential of commercial cleaning robots, emphasizing that enhanced environmental perception technology will empower LionsBot's robots with superior autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance capabilities. He stated, "By continuously refining sensing technology, our partnership will drive the intelligent and high-performance development of cleaning robots, enabling them to navigate complex service environments with greater ease."

LionsBot Co-founder and CEO Dylan Ng Terntzer expressed confidence in the collaboration, stating, "LionsBot is committed to revolutionizing the cleaning industry with cutting-edge robotic solutions. By integrating RoboSense's LiDAR technology, our robots will achieve more accurate obstacle detection and tracking, delivering safer, more stable, and highly efficient intelligent cleaning solutions."

Headquartered in Singapore, LionsBot is a global leader in cleaning robot solutions, providing high-performance, user-friendly robotic systems. Its R3 series caters to high-traffic indoor spaces like offices and retail stores, while the R12 Rex series is designed for large-scale environments such as warehouses and distribution centers. The company is also developing next-generation AI-driven cleaning robots. To date, over 3,000 LionsBot robots have been deployed across 30 countries, serving prestigious locations such as Singapore Changi Airport, London's The Shard and Wembley Stadium, and Dubai Festival City Mall.

RoboSense's wide field-of-view and long-range LiDAR sensors provide LionsBot's R12 Rex robots with an expanded perception range, ensuring seamless navigation in complex environments like airports, warehouses, museums, and hospitals. Meanwhile, in high-traffic spaces such as offices and retail stores, RoboSense's high-reliability LiDAR enables R3 series robots to accurately detect reflective objects and differentiate between static and dynamic obstacles, minimizing safety risks while ensuring efficient cleaning operations.

As a global leader in robotic components and perception solutions, RoboSense aims to be the world's leading robotics technology platform. As of the third quarter of 2024, the company has provided products and services to over 2,600 robotics industry clients across over 40 countries. It is also the first company to surpass one million LiDAR units produced, spearheading the digital transformation of the LiDAR industry. RoboSense said it continues to drive innovation, launching a new generation of digital LiDAR products and pioneering the Active Camera platform, which provides advanced vision solutions tailored to diverse robotic applications. Through these innovations, RoboSense is helping partners significantly enhance product performance and accelerate the global deployment of intelligent robotics.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
