Beijing (Gasgoo)- LiDAR company Hesai Technology announced on March 26 that it has secured a mass-production supply agreement with Chery's new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, iCAR. As part of this partnership, Hesai will equip iCAR's upcoming model with its compact ultra-high-definition long-range LiDAR, ATX.

Designed for young consumers, iCAR is Chery Group's emerging NEV brand, their first collaborative model is scheduled to enter mass production in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The integration of Hesai's LiDAR will enhance iCAR's three-dimensional perception capabilities, significantly improving its ability to navigate complex scenarios such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, urban NOA (navigation-on-autopilot), and intelligent parking. By providing earlier hazard detection and response, Hesai's LiDAR will play a crucial role in iCAR's advanced intelligent driving system, serving as both a functional and safety-critical component.

With its revolutionary ATX LiDAR, Hesai is accelerating the commercialization of intelligent driving technologies. ATX offers a balance of high performance and cost efficiency, delivering an accessible LiDAR solution for automakers. To date, Hesai has secured supply deals with 22 car manufacturers across more than 120 vehicle models, with plans for further expansion.

This collaboration marks a significant step in empowering iCAR's technological advancement. In the future, Hesai's LiDAR is expected to be integrated into more iCAR models, driving the widespread adoption of intelligent driving and ushering in a new era of smart mobility.
