On March 3, Southeast Copper obtained approval from the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the General Administration of Customs to conduct import copper concentrates, export copper cathode, and copper product processing trade business (hereinafter referred to as the "processing and re-export qualification"). As a copper smelting project of Southeast Copper, which relies entirely on imported copper concentrates as raw materials and has high requirements for ore grade, the price spread between domestic and overseas copper markets has long remained in the negative range, bringing significant operational pressure and risks to the company. Obtaining the processing and re-export qualification, as an important tool and means, can to some extent mitigate the adverse impact caused by the price spread, expand sales channels, optimize solutions, and enhance the company's international market competitiveness. In recent years, Southeast Copper has made every effort to launch the "qualification campaign," accelerating the processing and re-export qualification application based on preliminary work. During this period, Southeast Copper coordinated various forces, reporting and coordinating with local governments and relevant ministries such as the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs more than ten times, receiving strong support and assistance from the government and relevant departments. The approval of the processing and re-export qualification is of great significance for Southeast Copper to implement Chalco Group's "Two Seas" strategy, enhance strategic resource security capabilities, and promote high-quality development of the enterprise. At the same time, it will also play a positive role in accelerating the development of the local government's export-oriented economy and enhancing industrial influence. In the next step, Southeast Copper will continue to improve internal management processes, strengthen communication with local relevant departments, seek support from internal sister units, and promote the smooth development of the business.
