SMM Analysis: China's LFP Exports Hit a Record High of 1,221 mt in January 2025! According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, China's LFP exports reached 1,221 mt in January 2025, setting a new historical record. Exports surged 34% MoM from December 2024 and were up 916% YoY. In terms of price, the average export price of LFP in December 2024 was $6,088/mt, down $2/mt from the December average.

SMM, March 27: According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, China's LFP exports in January 2025 reached 1,221 mt, hitting a record high! This represents a significant increase of 34% MoM from December and a 916% YoY increase. In terms of price, the average export price of LFP in December 2024 was $6,088/mt, down $2/mt from the December average.

In the January 2025 import data from the General Administration of Customs, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region remained the top province for LFP exports with 876 mt, all of which were exported to Vietnam. Jiangsu province ranked second with 150 mt, and Anhui province came in third with 131 mt.

In terms of LFP export destinations in January 2025, Vietnam remained the top country with 876 mt exported, accounting for 71.7% of total exports. Taiwan, China ranked second with 147 mt, and the US came in third with 138.7 mt. Other export destinations included South Korea and France.

Additionally, according to China Customs import data, China's LFP imports in January were 3.66 mt, mainly imported from Taiwan, China, with an average import price of $20,443.44/mt.
