Foshan Nanhai Kangyuan Machinery invites you to the 2025 SMM (2nd) Global Recycled Metal Industry Peak Forum.

Since the global consensus on green and low-carbon development was reached, the strategic position of the secondary metal industry has become increasingly prominent. With the acceleration of industrialization, the demand for metal resources continues to grow. Secondary metals, as a green, environmentally friendly, and economically viable resource alternative, have become a global focus.

In recent years, Southeast Asia has emerged as a significant hub for the collection and processing of global secondary resources. Simultaneously, with the deepening international layout of industries such as NEVs, secondary copper and aluminum processing enterprises, as well as battery industry players, have chosen to establish factories in countries like Thailand to expand overseas resources and enhance global competitiveness. Thailand, as a key economy in Southeast Asia, boasts a mature resource recycling system and a superior geographical location, providing convenient conditions for regional collaboration and international trade in the secondary metal industry. It has now developed into a global base for the recycling, sorting, and reprocessing of secondary metals such as secondary aluminum and secondary copper, annually supplying substantial secondary metal resources to China and other countries. Additionally, Thailand's booming manufacturing sector, with its expanding automotive and electronics industries, provides strong demand support for the secondary metal resource industry.

On June 24-25, 2024, the first SMM Global Secondary Metal Industry Forum was held in Malaysia. The conference brought together recycling associations, government officials, and renowned secondary metal enterprises to discuss the current status and future development of the industry. From 2024 to 2025, secondary metal policies are continuously updated, and the industry is rapidly developing. To help enterprises navigate the changes in the secondary industry and meet the requirements for industry standardization, SMM Information & Technology Co., Ltd. plans to hold the second SMM Global Secondary Metal Industry Chain Summit Forum in Thailand on June 12-13, 2025. The summit aims to gather associations, top enterprises, research institutions, industry experts, and policymakers from the global secondary metal sector to explore new trends, technologies, and policies in the industry, and to build an international platform for communication, cooperation, resource sharing, and collaborative innovation, contributing to the construction and improvement of the global resource recycling system and the transition to a green economy.

At this conference, Foshan Nanhai Kangyuan Machinery Co., Ltd. will make a grand appearance, engaging in deep discussions with industry peers from the upstream and downstream of the secondary metal sector to address industry pain points and challenges, jointly explore business opportunities, and promote high-quality industry development.

Before the holiday, the black chain is unlikely to see a trend-driven market [SMM Steel Industry Chain Weekly Report].
This week, ferrous metals were in the doldrums, with coking coal and coke staging a mid-week rise. At the beginning of the week, financial markets experienced sharp fluctuations, dragging down sentiment in the ferrous chain and leading to a pullback in futures. Mid-week, Indonesia's cut to coke production quotas drove coking coal and coke futures to lead the gains, though the impact was more pronounced on thermal coal, while coking coal's rise was largely sentiment-driven and short-lived. In the latter part of the week, finished products continued their seasonal inventory buildup, and support from the raw material side weakened, causing the entire ferrous chain to pull back. In the spot market, with the Chinese New Year holiday approaching, purchasing activity slowed down further, with end-users only making limited, as-needed purchases at low prices.

A00 Aluminum Prices Drop, Secondary Market Shows Divergence Amid Sluggish Demand
[SMM Aluminum Alloy Daily Review] A00 aluminum prices dropped by 200 yuan/mt from the previous trading day to 23,140 yuan/mt, while SMM ADC12 prices edged down by 50 yuan/mt to 23,550 yuan/mt. Today, secondary aluminum market quotations showed some divergence, with some enterprises choosing to hold steady and wait, while others lowered their offers by about 100 yuan/mt. Driven by the price pullback, downstream purchasing mainly focused on restocking at lower levels, and transaction activity improved slightly compared to the previous period. Overall, downstream demand continued to contract, and fundamental support for prices weakened marginally. Before the holiday, secondary aluminum alloy prices are expected to remain in the doldrums at high levels, with the price center pulling back sligh
