Chinese Hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicle manufacturer Hybot has successfully completed a 450 million yuan worth of Series A funding round.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese Hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicle manufacturer Hybot has successfully completed a 450 million yuan worth of Series A funding round, marking a significant step forward in its expansion, according to a press release the company issued via its WeChat account on March 24.

The round was led by CS Capital, Center Venture, and Hydrogenic, with participation from Guangzhou Shuimu Qingyun Equity Investment, Beijing Shunyuan Changxin Consulting, and Yide Investment among other investors ("Shuimu Qingyun", "Shunyuan Changxin", "Yide" are dubbed in Chinese Pinyin).

Hybot said, since its founding, it has pursued a "Vehicle + Energy + N" corporate strategy aimed at delivering optimal total value of ownership (TVO) across the full vehicle lifecycle. The company is committed to driving zero-emission transportation and providing clean, efficient logistics solutions for the industry.

Hybot's hydrogen fuel cell truck, the H49, has undergone rigorous performance validation since the first prototype rolled off the production line in June 2024. The vehicle has successfully completed extensive testing, including high-temperature trials in Turpan and cold-weather endurance tests in Mohe, demonstrating its reliability across extreme conditions.

With a comprehensive value-chain business model covering R&D, manufacturing, and real-world applications, Hybot is accelerating its partnerships with ecosystem players. By leveraging its "Vehicle + Energy + N" strategy, the company integrates energy supply security with efficient product operations, providing end-to-end solutions that maximize customer value.

The H49 is slated for small-scale commercial deployment in 2025, with ongoing scenario-based testing to ensure it meets the diverse demands of the market.

The company added it plans to further refine the custom development, validation, delivery, and commercialization of the H49, driven by its technology-ecosystem-capital synergy. The company is set to accelerate market expansion and the development of a hydrogen-powered logistics ecosystem, offering more advanced, high-efficiency fuel cell truck solutions to its customers.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
