Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 21, Dongfeng Motor Corporation R&D Institute and Lanyou Technology held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Guangzhou, marking a new phase in their collaboration on intelligent and digital services. The event also saw the unveiling of a joint innovation center.

The two parties first established a strategic partnership in 2020, working closely in areas such as digitalization, intelligent component development, and engineering services. Now, they aim to further integrate their strengths—leveraging Dongfeng Motor's expertise in advanced technology and fundamental research while utilizing Lanyou's experience in industrializing intelligent components and digital solutions. This collaboration seeks to expand cooperative domains, enhance innovation models, and upgrade technology promotion strategies.

The newly established joint innovation center will focus on pre-research for next-generation products and solutions. It will undertake projects related to intelligent development, automotive engineering, and digitalization, aligning with Dongfeng Motor's R&D initiatives.

A key focus of the center will be advancing NTN satellite communications, 5G-A, and 6G technologies. Additionally, it will accelerate the application of voice large models and AI-driven innovations. Both teams are expected to play a proactive role in ensuring strong R&D support for Dongfeng Motor’s intelligent vehicle development.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
