On March 17, the tender announcement for "Sodium-Ion Battery Energy Storage System Procurement for the Fengxian Xinghuo Comprehensive Multi-Technology New-Type Energy Storage Demonstration Base (Phase I) Project" was released, with Shanghai Shenergy New Power Energy Storage R&D Co., Ltd. as the bid inviter.

It is reported that the total capacity of the sodium-ion battery energy storage system is 5 MW/20 MWh, with a tender price of 22 million yuan, equivalent to 1.1 yuan per Wh. The contract will take effect in two batches. The first batch will be for the expandable minimum unit capacity (not more than 2.5 MWh), and the residual capacity will be for the second batch. The condition for the second batch contract to take effect is the completion of performance acceptance by the bid inviter for the first batch and obtaining the CNAS, CMA, and TUV type test reports for the battery equipment.
