SMM Rare Earth Morning Meeting Summary: Suppliers' Willingness to Sell Increases, Rare Earth Prices Drop Back Slightly Last week, influenced by the news that imports of ion-adsorption ore are expected to resume, some suppliers showed an increased willingness to sell, leading to a slight pullback in the prices of rare earth raw materials. However, with some companies still waiting for quotas to be issued, the fluctuation in rare earth prices remained relatively small.

SMM News on March 21:

Rare Earth Ore Prices: Rare earth carbonate prices are around 36,000 yuan/mt, monazite prices are about 42,500 yuan/mt, and medium-yttrium, europium-rich ore prices are approximately 189,000 yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Currently, with news that imports from Myanmar will soon resume, some market participants' sentiment has declined, and there are signs of weakening rare earth ore prices.

Rare Earth Oxide Prices: Pr-Nd oxide quotation range is about 443,000-445,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium oxide mainstream quotations are in the range of 1.65-1.67 million yuan/mt, and terbium oxide quotations have been adjusted to around 6.5-6.55 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Last week, under the influence of news that ion-adsorption ore imports will soon resume, some suppliers' willingness to sell increased, and overall raw material prices slightly pulled back; however, some companies are still waiting for the issuance of quotas, resulting in relatively small fluctuations in rare earth prices.

Rare Earth Metal Prices: Pr-Nd alloy mainstream quotations are in the range of 543,000-545,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium-iron alloy quotations are about 1.63-1.65 million yuan/mt, and terbium metal quotations are around 8.1-8.15 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Currently, metal factories are experiencing a somewhat quiet order situation, with low downstream inquiry enthusiasm, mainly purchasing as needed. In the absence of significant volatility in oxide prices, metal factories' quotations remain stable, and overall rare earth metal prices are steady.

NdFeB Blank Prices: NdFeB blank N38 (Ce) prices are 145-155 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40M prices are 191-201 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40H prices are 195-205 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 45SH (Ce) prices are 245-265 yuan/kg.

Supply and Demand: Last week, the magnet market remained stable overall. However, downstream orders have not yet reached expectations, and market trading activity is low. Companies tend to purchase as needed, showing a high degree of caution.

NdFeB Scrap Prices: Pr-Nd recycled from NdFeB scrap prices are 475-485 yuan/kg; dysprosium recycled from NdFeB scrap prices are 1,657-1,668 yuan/kg; terbium recycled from NdFeB scrap prices are 5,287-5,341 yuan/kg.

Supply and Demand: Last week, the scrap market was generally stable, with separation enterprises offering relatively firm quotations, and the overall trading atmosphere was rather cold. The tug-of-war over prices between buyers and sellers was not particularly intense, and market participants are adopting a wait-and-see attitude towards future trends, with generally low purchase willingness.
