General Administration of Customs: China’s February Copper Scrap Imports Up 27% YoY Detailed Data Overview

Data from the online customs statistics query platform showed that China's imports of copper scrap (copper scrap and shredded copper scrap) in February 2025 were 193,353 mt, up 2.22% MoM and up 26.98% YoY. The US was the largest supplier, with 31,361 mt of copper scrap (copper scrap and shredded copper scrap) imported from the US, down 20.35% MoM and up 0.81% YoY. Japan was the second-largest supplier, with 23,308.5 mt of copper scrap (copper scrap and shredded copper scrap) imported from Japan, up 53.08% MoM and up 43.14% YoY. Below is a summary table of the detailed data for February 2025 copper scrap imports, based on information from the General Administration of Customs of China: Note: 1.
