China's Aluminum Wire and Cable Exports Rise 3.6% YoY in Early 2025, Outlook Remains Positive

Published: Mar 23, 2025 20:30
According to statistics, China's aluminum wire and cable exports from January-February 2025 totaled 38,900 mt, up 3.6% YoY compared to the same period last year, providing market confidence at the beginning of the year. Currently, domestic power grid construction is expected to enter a concentrated delivery date, with corporate capacity likely to gradually shift towards domestic demand, leading to an anticipated adjustment in the high level of China's aluminum wire and cable exports. However, in the medium and long-term, the acceleration of new energy infrastructure in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other regions will continue to drive demand for high-strength, high-conductivity aluminum wire and cable. SMM expects that China's aluminum wire and cable exports in 2025 will exceed 200,000 mt, up 2.5% YoY.
