General Administration of Customs: China's Refined Copper Imports in January Decline 21.5 YoY Detailed Data Overview

Customs online query platform data showed that China's refined copper imports in January 2025 were 297,123 mt, down 27.23% MoM and 21.54% YoY. The DRC was the largest supplier, with 142,804.428 mt of refined copper imported from the DRC in the month, down 14.86% MoM but up 25.14% YoY. Chile was the second-largest supplier, with 37,933.368 mt of refined copper imported from Chile, down 14.26% MoM and 54.27% YoY. Below is a breakdown of refined copper imports for January 2025, based on data from the General Administration of Customs of China: Note: 1. This includes unwrought refined copper cathode with a copper content >99.9935%; unwrought other refined copper cathode; unwrought refined copper wire bars; unwrought refined copper cathode profiles; unwrought refined copper billets; and other unwrought refined copper. 2. The total import volume (total) also includes some origin data not listed in the table.
