Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Motor's Central Asia regional marketing center under its commercial vehicle overseas sales department recently held an inauguration ceremony for a new 4S store in Kyrgyzstan, the company announced on WeChat on March 19.

The grand opening saw the signing of an order for 15 Dongfeng Motor's commercial vehicles. The Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan highly praised the cooperation, emphasizing its significance under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The opening of this 4S store marks a key breakthrough in Dongfeng Motor's strategic expansion along the BRI markets. As a crucial service hub in the region, the facility integrates vehicle sales, parts warehousing, smart diagnostics, and technical training, covering not only Kyrgyzstan but also neighboring markets such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

From cross-border transport fleets in the Pamir Plateau to agricultural supply trucks in Chüy Valley, Dongfeng Motor's localized operations and technical expertise are set to enhance regional logistics efficiency, helping Kyrgyzstan integrate further into the Eurasian transport network.

Since the launch of the BRI in 2013, Dongfeng Motor has evolved from a mere vehicle exporter to a full-value-chain provider. It has established a KD assembly plant in Kazakhstan, introduced new energy light-duty trucks in Pakistan, and developed a digital service cloud platform in the UAE.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
