Slight Improvement in Refinery Petroleum Coke Shipments; Prices Consolidate at High Levels

Based on the latest market conditions, refinery petroleum coke shipments showed a slight improvement during the week, with overall petroleum coke prices consolidating at high levels, especially as prices improved slightly in the latter half of the week. According to SMM data, the average price of local refinery petroleum coke was about 2,491 yuan/mt, a 0.28% decrease WoW. Meanwhile, Formosa coke transactions remained sluggish with no significant improvement, and current market quotes ranged from 1,250 to 1,300 yuan/mt. Overall, downstream enterprises in the petroleum coke market showed a slight increase in purchasing enthusiasm, with more inquiries for orders, and it is expected that petroleum coke prices will maintain a high-level consolidation trend next week.
