Announcement on the Early Release of SMM Prices for Nickel, Cobalt, Manganese, and New Energy

To better serve as a benchmark for spot prices in the nickel, cobalt, manganese, and new energy industries, and to assist the market in optimizing order signing mechanisms, SMM, after a period of consolidation and market survey, plans to advance the release time of some prices starting from March 24, 2025

Dear Users:

To better serve as a benchmark for spot prices in the nickel, cobalt, manganese, and new energy industries, and to assist in optimizing the order signing mechanism.

After a period of market research and consolidation,
1. SMM plans to advance the release time of the following prices to 10:30 AM Beijing Time every working day starting from March 24, 2025:
Battery-Grade Nickel Sulphate (USD/mt),

SMM Battery-Grade Nickel Sulphate Index (USD/mt),

Cobalt Sulphate(USD/mt),

SMM Cobalt Sulphate Index(USD/mt),

[Molybdenum Oxide Import and Export Information] SMM News, March 21: Customs data showed that China imported 2,629 mt of molybdenum oxide (physical content) in February 2026, up 386.78% YoY and up 28.12% MoM. Cumulative imports of molybdenum oxide in January-February totaled 4,680 mt (physical content), up 427.03% YoY. In February 2026, China exported 689 mt of molybdenum oxide (physical content), down 43.96% YoY and down 32.2% MoM. Cumulative exports of molybdenum oxide in January-February totaled 1,706 mt (physical content), down 25.90% YoY.
