XPENG announced plans to begin localized production of the XPENG G6 and XPENG X9 models in Indonesia by the second half of 2025.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- XPENG announced on March 17 it has already entered the Indonesian market, marking a significant step in its global expansion. The company also announced plans to begin localized production of the XPENG G6 and XPENG X9 models in Indonesia by the second half of 2025, making the country one of its first overseas markets to adopt local manufacturing.

To facilitate its entry, XPENG has partnered with ERAL Group, a leading Indonesian distributor known for its strong presence in premium lifestyle and consumer electronics. Under this collaboration, right-hand-drive (RHD) versions of the XPENG G6 and X9 will enter the Indonesian market in early 2025.

Leveraging ERAL's extensive distribution network and brand influence, XPENG aims to accelerate its overseas expansion while enhancing its global competitiveness.

As part of its “Going Global 2.0” strategy, XPENG is rapidly advancing its mission to make smart electric vehicle technology more accessible worldwide. The company has already established a presence in over 10 European markets, including Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and the Netherlands. On March 11, XPENG announced its further expansion into Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, with the XPENG P7, G9, and G6 slated for sale in the second quarter of 2025.

Beyond Europe, XPENG is also making strides in the Middle East and Africa. In October 2024, the company, in partnership with Ali & Sons Holding LLC, launched the XPENG G6 and G9 models in Dubai, marking its official entry into the UAE market and a key milestone in its Middle East strategy.

XPENG aims to enter over 60 countries and regions by 2025, with a long-term vision of overseas sales accounting for 50% of its total sales volume within the next decade. As the company continues to capitalize on global opportunities in electrification and smart mobility, it remains committed to expanding the electric vehicle ecosystem and delivering intelligent, convenient, and sustainable transportation solutions to customers worldwide.
