It is reported that flywheel energy storage technology, as an efficient and environmentally friendly physical energy storage method, has significant advantages in the field of rail transit. During frequent train braking, it recovers braking energy, achieving efficient conversion and storage of electrical and kinetic energy, and rapidly releases energy during train startup, effectively improving energy utilization efficiency, saving electricity, and reducing operating costs. At the same time, flywheel energy storage can effectively support traction network voltage, smooth out voltage fluctuations caused by train starts and stops, and reduce the impact on the power grid. Flywheel energy storage products feature long lifespan, high efficiency, zero pollution, and safety and stability, aligning with the national goals of energy conservation, carbon reduction, and sustainable development.
