Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 17, XPENG's Chairman He Xiaopeng revealed on Weibo that the cumulative deliveries of the XPENG MONA M03, the company's A-segment all-electric sedan model, are expected to exceed 100,000 units next month.

Hitting the market on August 27, 2024, and delivered from September last year, the MONA M03 is the first model under XPENG's MONA series, priced between 119,800 yuan and 155,800 yuan. The vehicle saw strong initial demand, securing over 10,000-unit fixed orders within 52 minutes of its market launch and surpassing 30,000 units in just 48 hours. By the end of February this year, its monthly deliveries had exceeded 15,000 units for three consecutive months.

The MONA M03 measures 4,780mm in length, 1,896mm in width, and 1,445mm in height, with a width-to-height ratio of 1.31 and a 2,815mm wheelbase. It boasts a minimum turning radius of 5.3m and an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.194Cd.

Its youthful exterior design features a distinctive "boomerang" headlight setup, a closed-off front grille, and smooth, flowing side contours. The taillights mirror the design of the headlights, delivering a striking lighting effect.

Inside, the MONA M03 is equipped with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and 16GB of RAM. The proprietary infotainment system supports 360-degree panoramic camera view and a 3D-rendered navigation map.

The MONA M03 comes in Standard and Max versions, both featuring over 20 intelligent sensing components, including two millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and seven cameras. With L2 advanced driver assistance capabilities, it offers intelligent cruise control, automatic parking assistance, forward and rear collision warnings, emergency braking, lane departure correction, and blind-spot monitoring.

Powertrain options include two electric motor variants with peak outputs of 140kW and 160kW, paired with 51.8kWh and 62.2kWh LFP battery packs, delivering a range of 515km to 620km.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
