Recently, Chint New Energy stood out in the 2025-2026 PV module framework procurement of China Datang Corporation and was shortlisted for Section 1 of the n-type TOPCon module category, further deepening its cooperation with China Datang Corporation in the field of clean energy.

This framework procurement by China Datang Corporation is divided into three sections: Section 1 procures 19.5 GW of n-type TOPCon modules, Section 2 procures 2 GW of n-type heterojunction modules, and Section 3 procures 1 GW of n-type BC modules, with a total project scale of 22.5 GW. As a leading energy enterprise in China, China Datang Corporation has strict standards and requirements for the quality and reliability of PV modules. Chint New Energy's inclusion in this PV module centralised procurement is strong evidence of the high performance and reliability of its ASTRO N series PV modules, which have been recognised by customers. On this basis, the two parties will further deepen their partnership to make positive contributions to promoting the green energy transition.

In recent years, Chint New Energy has been repeatedly shortlisted in China Datang Corporation's PV module centralised procurements, contributing to the completion of several projects, including the 1 million kW "solar thermal + PV" clean energy demonstration project in Datang Shichengzi, the 500,000 kW generation-grid-load-storage integrated PV project in Datang Zhongwei, Ningxia, the Datang Huile Agricultural PV Power Station in Shuicheng District, Guizhou, the 100 MW Phase II PV Power Station in Datang Pingluo Gaoren, the 100 MW fishery-PV complementary power station in Datang Dongxiang, Fuzhou, Jiangxi, the 200 MW PV power station in Datang Huayin Lianyuan Rocky Desertification Area, Hunan, and the 126 MW agricultural PV power station in Datang Muchang, Changshun County, Guizhou. These cooperative projects span across the country.

By the end of 2024, the 1 million kW "solar thermal + PV" clean energy demonstration project in Datang Shichengzi, supplied with 319 MW of ASTRO N5 PV modules by Chint New Energy, will achieve grid connection. As a "star product" of Chint New Energy, the ASTRO N5 adopts self-developed n-type TOPCon 4.0 battery technology, offering performance advantages in power generation, bifaciality, temperature coefficient, weak light performance, LID, and LETID. Its high reliability has been tested and certified by authoritative institutions such as RETC, ensuring excellent power generation efficiency even in desert regions with dry climates, large temperature differences, and frequent sandstorms, laying a solid foundation for the project's long-term stable operation.

In the future, Chint New Energy will continue to uphold the development philosophy of green, low-carbon, and sustainable growth, providing strong support for China Datang Corporation's green energy projects and working together to achieve clean energy goals and build a better ecological environment.

China Approves 17.44 GW Power Plan for Qaidam Desert Base, Including Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage Projects
It is understood that the National Energy Administration has officially approved the power source allocation plan for the "Qaidam Desert Base (East Golmud) Base". The planned construction scale of the power source projects at this base is 17.44 million kilowatts, including 10 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power, 5 million kilowatts of wind power, 2.64 million kilowatts of coal-fired power, 0.1 million kilowatts of solar thermal power, and 1.5 million kilowatts (for 4 hours) of electrochemical energy storage. The total investment in the projects is about 86 billion yuan. The new energy will be transmitted to Guangxi through the "Qinghai-Guangxi DC" UHV power transmission project. Currently, significant progress has been made in the preliminary work of the "Qinghai-Guangxi DC" project, w

[SMM PV News] Armenia Hits 1.1 GW Solar Capacity,
Armenia’s cumulative solar capacity has surged to 1.1 GW following the addition of approximately 615 MW in 2025. This rapid expansion has pushed solar's share of electricity generation to around 15%, effectively meeting the country's 2030 target years ahead of schedule. The growth is heavily driven by a net-metering scheme supporting over 50,000 autonomous producers (totaling 650 MW), though the government ended loan subsidies for rooftop solar in July to shift focus toward battery storage.
