Boliden Completes Expansion of Odda Smelter in Norway, Doubling Zinc Capacity

[SMM Flash] On March 17, Boliden announced the official completion of its Odda smelter in Norway. In recent years, Boliden has made significant investments to increase Odda's annual zinc capacity from the previous 200,000 mt to 350,000 mt, nearly doubling its zinc production. This expansion not only included the construction of extensive infrastructure for logistics and energy but also the addition of a new roasting furnace, a sulphuric acid plant, and a new electrolysis workshop. Furthermore, the leaching and purification plant, as well as the casting plant, were expanded and modernized.
