The low-sulphur calcined petroleum coke market showed a stable transition trend. Recently, due to the decline in raw petroleum coke prices and weak purchase willingness from downstream enterprises, calcined petroleum coke prices have continued to decrease. As of March 14, the average price of low-sulphur calcined petroleum coke in north-east China was 6,700 yuan/mt, down 11.84% from the beginning of the month. Although the price of low-sulphur calcined petroleum coke has been adjusted due to lower raw material costs, overall sales performance of enterprises remained average. Moreover, as downstream enterprises lack confidence in the future market, the sentiment of observing and waiting has become increasingly strong. Therefore, SMM expects that the price of low-sulphur calcined petroleum coke may remain weak in the short term.
