During the week of March 1 to March 7, 2025, primary lead smelters primarily focused on resuming and increasing production. The operating rate of primary lead in the three provinces decreased by 0.2 percentage points WoW to 66.06%.
In Henan this week, smelter production remained stable, with the operating rate slightly rebounding WoW. In Hunan, the supply of raw materials such as crude lead was limited, and some small- and medium-sized smelters, after resuming production, had not yet reached full capacity, resulting in slight fluctuations in production. In Yunnan, smelters that had previously undergone technological transformation and maintenance resumed production and increased output to normal levels. Outside the surveyed samples of the three provinces, smelters in Anhui, which had previously experienced production declines due to fluctuations in raw material grade, resumed production to regular levels. In Qinghai, a smelter that had undergone maintenance resumed production, leading to a slight increase in March output, while other smelters maintained stable production.
