[SMM News] Recent Electrolyte Prices, 2025.3.10-2025.3.13

Published: Mar 13, 2025 14:53
From March 10 to March 13, 2025, electrolyte prices decreased. Cost side, the decline in raw material prices led to the decrease in electrolyte prices.

SMM March 13 News:

This week, electrolyte prices declined. The average price of electrolyte for ternary power batteries was 24,500 yuan/mt, while the average price for LFP batteries was 20,000 yuan/mt. On the cost side: The price of its core raw material, LiPF6, dropped significantly, with an average price of 60,900 yuan/mt. The prices of solvents and FEC additives also decreased, while the price of VC remained stable. As a result, the overall cost of electrolyte decreased. On the demand side: End-use demand recovered slowly, maintaining stable procurement of electrolytes. On the supply side: Electrolyte manufacturers produced based on orders from battery cell manufacturers, while LiPF6 enterprises also produced according to the order demands of electrolyte companies. The procurement status of both electrolytes and LiPF6 remained stable. In the short term, fluctuations on the cost side are expected to lead to a further decline in electrolyte prices.

Special Action to Uphold the Bottom Line of Mandatory Product Certification: 108,500 CCC Certificates Suspended
It was learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation has carried out an in-depth nationwide special action to uphold the bottom line of mandatory product certification, launching "random selection and public disclosure" supervision and inspection of certification bodies, covering all 34 CCC-designated certification bodies, 90 CCC-designated laboratories, and 300 voluntary certification bodies. To date, designated certification bodies have suspended a total of 108,500 CCC certificates involving 18,500 producer visits, and revoked a total of 44,900 CCC certificates involving 13,000 producer visits. Among them, more than 4,200 CCC certificates for power banks and lithium batteries that could no longer meet certification requirements were revoked or cancelled, effectively ensuring product quality and safety. At the same time, special governance of institutional filing and certification rules has continued. Since the beginning of this year, 50,200 rules have been reviewed, 30,300 were not filed, 17,700 were returned for rectification, and 2,186 were approved, ensuring high-quality certification activities through high-standard certification rules.
