The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price was 74,775 yuan/mt, down 124 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Battery-grade lithium carbonate was quoted at 73,800-75,700 yuan/mt, with an average price of 74,750 yuan/mt, down 150 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Industrial-grade lithium carbonate was quoted at 72,300-73,300 yuan/mt, with an average price of 72,800 yuan/mt, down 150 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The transaction price center for spot lithium carbonate showed a downward trend. Due to relatively weak purchase willingness from downstream buyers, there were few inquiries or transactions, with only some material plants having restocking needs driven by rigid demand. Although upstream lithium chemical plants maintained a sentiment to stand firm on quotes, the significant surplus in lithium carbonate persisted due to increased domestic production and overseas imports. It is expected that spot lithium carbonate prices will have some downside room, accompanied by sideways movement.
