Beijing (Gasgoo)- Horizon Continental Technology, a joint venture between Horizon Robotics and Continental AG, recently completed an angel funding round worth several hundred million yuan. The round was led by Hillhouse Investment, with co-investment from CICC Porsche Fund and Zhejiang Provincial Financial Holdings.

This marks the first investment by CICC Porsche Fund in China since its establishment in 2024, signifying Porsche's deeper engagement in the smart driving sector and commitment to advancing local technology development. The fund, jointly created by Porsche Ventures and China International Capital Corporation (CICC), focuses on fostering innovation in the Chinese market, particularly in automotive mobility, smart enterprises, and sustainability. Through this investment, Porsche aims to accelerate the development of intelligent driving functions and explore the integration of advanced driver assistance systems in future vehicle models.

As a global intelligent driving solutions provider, Horizon Continental Technology operates two major product lines, Luna and Astra. Luna, an L2 driver assistance system, prioritizes active safety and fundamental driving and parking features to enhance daily driving safety and comfort. On the other hand, Astra offers L2+ capabilities, including lightweight urban NOA (Navigation-on-Autopilot), highway NOA, and memory parking, delivering a more seamless and secure driving experience.

According to Horizon Continental Technology, the company has secured mass-production agreements with four automakers, with related solutions expected to launch in 2025. Notably, its lightweight urban NOA system, co-developed with iMotion based on Horizon Robotics’ Journey® 6 computing platform, has been selected by a leading domestic automaker for mass production in 2025.
