China's Automobile Exports Rose 17% YoY in Jan-Feb 2025, with New Energy Vehicles Gaining Share

In January-February 2025, China's automobile exports reached 970,000 units, up 17% YoY. According to CPCA data, passenger car exports in February (including complete vehicles and CKD) were 349,000 units, up 11% YoY and down 8% MoM. From January to February, passenger car producer exports totaled 730,000 units, up 6% YoY. In February, new energy vehicles accounted for 33.9% of total exports, an increase of 4.4 percentage points YoY. Exports of domestic brands in February reached 310,000 units, up 27% YoY and down 1% MoM, while exports of joint venture and luxury brands were 35,000 units, down 47% YoY.
