Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese smart car solution developer MINIEYE on March 9 announced that it recently received multiple nomination letters to supply its driver monitoring system (DMS) and occupant monitoring system (OMS) solutions to a global automaker's joint-venture and luxury vehicle brands.

MINIEYE stated that these brands have a broad user base and strong market influence, and the new partnerships will further expand the company's market coverage while accelerating the evolution of intelligent cockpit technologies.

MINIEYE's in-house developed DMS and OMS solutions enhance driving safety and passenger experience, featuring six core functions: driver fatigue detection, safety intervention, vital sign monitoring, driver registration, passenger monitoring, and interactive entertainment.

According to the company, the designated vehicle models span various powertrains, including battery-electric and range-extended vehicles. MINIEYE will provide a comprehensive solution encompassing both software algorithms and hardware to these vehicles.

Notably, the joint-venture brand involved in this deal sold over one million vehicles in 2024, ranking among the top-performing joint-venture brands in China. MINIEYE had previously secured nominations from this brand for intelligent driving solutions, and this latest agreement deepens their collaboration, highlighting its strength in "integrated cockpit and driving solutions." Additionally, this marks MINIEYE's first designated order from a top-tier traditional luxury vehicle brand.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
