【Supply of Silicon Metal in Xinjiang Continues to Increase】According to market feedback, the weekly production of sample silicon plants in Xinjiang was 32,900 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 68%. It continued to increase WoW. With the recent release of production from newly resumed silicon furnaces in Xinjiang, the supply of silicon metal in the region has been steadily increasing, and this trend of supply growth is expected to continue next week.

SMM, March 7: According to market feedback, the weekly production of sample silicon plants in Xinjiang was 32,900 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 68%, continuing to increase WoW. As the production from newly resumed silicon furnaces in Xinjiang is gradually released, the supply of silicon metal in the region is steadily increasing, and this trend is expected to continue next week.

The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in north-west China was 11,150 mt, with a weekly operating rate stable at 82%, unchanged WoW. The statistical scope for north-west China includes Qinghai, Ningxia, and Gansu. During the week, the operating rate in north-west China remained stable, with no significant maintenance or production cuts reported recently.

The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Yunnan was 1,770 mt, with a weekly operating rate stable at 21%. Within the week, the operating rate of sample silicon enterprises in Yunnan remained stable, while a few non-sample silicon enterprises experienced production cuts at the end of last week, leading to a decline in the overall operating rate in Yunnan.

The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Sichuan was 0 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 0%. Currently, no sample silicon enterprises in Sichuan are in operation. Next week, some silicon furnaces in Sichuan may resume production due to multiple factors, but the majority of idle silicon enterprises remain cautious, with no confirmed timeline for resumption and no raw material procurement activities initiated.
