[SMM Daily Review: Spot Lithium Carbonate Prices Remain Stable on March 6]
The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price was 74,830 yuan/mt, up 43 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Battery-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 73,800-75,900 yuan/mt, with an average price of 74,850 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous working day. Industrial-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 72,400-73,400 yuan/mt, with an average price of 72,900 yuan/mt, also unchanged from the previous working day. The transaction price center for spot lithium carbonate remained stable.

Supply side, domestic lithium carbonate production showed clear growth. Meanwhile, overseas imports remained at high levels. Although lithium carbonate shipments from Chile to China in February significantly decreased, lithium sulphate exports to China expanded nearly fourfold, providing a strong supplement to lithium carbonate supply. Downstream material plants adopted a cautious and wait-and-see approach under these circumstances, anticipating further price declines. Current market transaction activity slightly weakened.
