[Hudbay Minerals Announces Increase in Port Transportation of Zinc Concentrates]
Yesterday, at the PDAC Mining Convention in Canada, Canadian mining company Hudbay Minerals announced an agreement with Arctic Gateway Group (AGG) to double the volume of zinc concentrates transported through the Port of Churchill in the upcoming shipping season. This collaboration not only enhances the company's critical mineral transportation capacity but also ensures the safe storage and transportation of these critical resources via the Hudson Bay Railway. Currently, Hudbay operates the Snow Lake mining area in Canada, which produced approximately 33,000 mt of zinc concentrates in 2024 and is expected to produce 21,000-27,000 mt of zinc concentrates in 2025.
