Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 1, Dongfeng Nissan held a tech launch event in Guangzhou, marking its first major showcase of new energy vehicle (NEV) technologies. The event highlighted the brand’s latest innovations, including the Tianyan Architecture, which serves as the foundation for its NEV transformation, and four key technological advancements: a 14-in-1 intelligent electric drive system, AI Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion seats, an end-to-end large model-based advanced intelligent driving system, and a comprehensive motion sickness prevention technology.

Tianyan Architecture

Built under the "GLOCAL" strategy, the Tianyan Architecture (name in Chinese pinyin) integrates ultra-high safety, modular scalability, and intelligent comfort.

Its 3S platform (super-rigid, super-lightweight, super-safe) employs advanced materials for crash protection, while its battery system passed China's first "four-needle, multi-cell non-thermal runaway" test. The 800V platform enables 400km range replenishment in under 7 minutes.

14-in-1 intelligent electric drive system

Dongfeng Nissan's 14-in-1 intelligent electric drive system integrates multi-core smart chips, achieving precise power control with a response speed of 1/10,000 seconds, which is 100 times faster than CAN communication. This innovation also enhances interior space. The integrated system also frees up cabin space.

AI Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion seat

The company has also introduced the AI Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion seat, featuring 88 patented innovations. The seat incorporates 49 smart sensors and an AI-driven adaptive posture algorithm, based on data from over 1,500 users. The algorithm is then trained on 200,000 virtual models using the real-user data, simulating adaptive adjustments. When in use, the algorithm will be further enhanced via OTA updates, matching users’ posture seamlessly.

Hardware-wise, the seat include 19 intelligent airbags and an extendable pneumatic cushion reaching 60mm for leg support. It also offers a pump with a massage strength of up to 60N.

Motion sickness prevention technology

To enhance ride comfort, Dongfeng Nissan unveiled its comprehensive motion sickness prevention system, covering 17 anti-motion sickness strategies across six driving scenarios, including acceleration, highway cruising, overtaking, turning, bumpy roads, and urban congestion.

Additionally, a smart chassis system with an industry-leading 10x adjustable damping range and 216 customizable suspension modes was introduced, refined with input from GT-R performance expert Hiroyoshi Kato.

Intelligent driving solution

In intelligent driving, Dongfeng Nissan collaborated with autonomous driving company Momenta to develop an end-to-end large model-based NOA (navigation-on-autopilot) system. The highway NOA can handle complex maneuvers such as merging, avoiding large vehicles, and navigating construction zones, while urban NOA excels in unprotected turns and lane-changing scenarios. The automated parking system achieves industry-leading efficiency in challenging conditions like angled and narrow parking spaces.

For intelligent safety, the NOA system ensures stable braking even at speeds of 130 km/h. Meanwhile, the new Yunxiang (name in Chinese pinyin) smart cockpit, integrating DeepSeek AI, is among the first of its kind in joint-venture brands. The Nissan OS system, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, enhances human-vehicle interaction with AI assistance, scenario-based customization, and multi-sensory environmental integration.

Dongfeng Nissan N7

The Dongfeng Nissan N7, the first model built on the Tianyan Architecture, is a mid-to-large pure electric sedan measuring 4,930mm long, 1,895mm wide, and 1,487mm tall. It features a 0.208Cd drag coefficient and a design following the golden ratio (0.618) for optimized aerodynamics and spaciousness.

The N7 will integrate key innovations, including the Yunxiang cockpit, AI Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion seat, Nissan OS, motion sickness prevention, and end-to-end advanced intelligent driving. The model is set to debut at a pre-sale event in April.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
