Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 4, Shanghai Baolong Automotive Corporation ("Baolong") and BASF (China) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai, aiming to drive innovation in automotive materials development and applications, according to a post on Baolong's WeChat account.

As a global leader in the chemical industry, BASF brings deep expertise in material science and extensive market experience. Meanwhile, Baolong, a leading automotive components supplier in China, has been committed to technological innovation and product upgrades, offering extensive product portfolio including TPMS, automotive sensors, intelligent driving solutions, ECAS, automotive metal tubing, tire valves, wheel weights, BUSBAR, liquid cold plates, aluminum exteriors, and more.

United by a shared vision for innovation and mutual growth, the two companies will collaborate on advanced technologies and products in areas such as intelligent air suspension, smart driving, and automotive sensors. The partnership seeks to develop high-performance materials that meet the demands for precision, reliability, and durability in automotive components, ultimately delivering more efficient and dependable solutions while fostering technological advancement, industry upgrades, and sustainable development.

Wang Shengquan, Vice President of Baolong, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, highlighting BASF's expertise in industrial materials. He stated that the partnership will integrate BASF's cutting-edge material technologies with Baolong's deep experience in automotive components, driving innovative applications of high-performance materials across multiple fields.

Su Rongyuan, Vice President of BASF and Head of the Engineering Plastics Business for the Asia-Pacific Performance Materials Division, praised Baolong's strong market position and technical expertise. He noted that Baolong has been a leader in several niche automotive sectors with a strong track record of success. Mr. Su believes that both companies can explore additional synergies, leveraging BASF's leadership in chemical materials to achieve new technological breakthroughs in next-generation automotive components.
