[Canada Plans to Extend Mineral Exploration Tax Credit Policy by Two More Years] On Sunday, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, Jonathan Wilkinson, stated that Canada will extend the mineral exploration tax credit policy by an additional two years to demonstrate the government's support for exploration projects, energy, and natural resource investments. The tax credit policy provides investors with a 15% tax credit, aiming to encourage investment in the common shares of junior mining companies, helping small and medium-sized mining companies quickly raise funds for exploration projects and offering businesses alternative funding sources outside of China. The policy, originally set to expire on March 31, will now be extended to March 31, 2027, and is expected to provide approximately 110 million Canadian dollars (approximately $76 million) in additional funding support for mineral exploration investments.
