Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 28, Geely-backed ride-hailing platform Caocao Mobility held a launch ceremony for its Caocao Autonomous Driving platform. The company also began Robotaxi trial operations in Suzhou and Hangzhou, deploying vehicles equipped with Geely's latest intelligent driving system.

Since its founding in 2015, Caocao Mobility has expanded its ride-hailing services to over 100 cities across China, operating 33,000 customized new energy vehicles in 29 key cities. The company's exploration of Robotaxi technology began in 2020, leveraging the technological ecosystem of Geely Holding Group.

At the event, the company also announced the successful establishment of its fully self-developed "F-Cube" intelligent driving ecosystem. The "F-Cube" ecosystem integrates intelligent manufacturing, intelligent driving, and intelligent operations into a closed-loop system, creating a seamless connection between customized vehicles, autonomous driving technology, and mobility services.

During the trial, Caocao Mobility introduced the first batch of factory-customized Robotaxi vehicles, based on the highly flexible and intelligent Lynk & Co Z10, built on Geely's SEA platform.

The company plans to launch a fully customized Robotaxi model by 2026, balancing cost efficiency and user experience while significantly reducing per-unit production costs compared to industry standards. Additionally, Caocao Mobility is developing an automated operations system to manage order processing, route planning, resource allocation, and vehicle maintenance, enabling fully automated fleet management.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
